JetBlue Airways planning to serve Rhode Island

JetBlue Airways is planning to serve Rhode Island. According to media reports, JetBlue Airways chief executive David J. Barger recently met with Governor Chafee and the head of T.F. Green Airport to discuss plans on how to serve Rhode Island.

JetBlue Airways also confirmed David J. Barger’s visit to Rhode Island. The airline, however, said that it had no announcement to make at the moment.

Governor Chafee’s office as well as T.F. Green Airport chief Kevin A. Dillon also acknowledged that a meeting with JetBlue Airways had indeed taken place, but both have declined to provide further details on the issue.

In recent months, Barger had twice visited Rhode Island. Even a state delegation paid a visit to Barger’s office in New York in August last year.
