JetBlue Airways switch operations to Terminal 3 at McCarran International Airport

JetBlue Airways flights have now shifted its flight operations to the new Terminal 3 of McCarran International Airport.

JetBlue Airways recently announced that it will now be operating out of McCarran International Airport's new Terminal 3 instead of the previous Terminal 1. The airline stated that the flight operations shifted effective from July 30, 2012.

Apart from JetBlue Airways, other leading U.S. carriers such as Virgin America, Alaska Airlines, Sun Country Airlines and Frontier Airlines have also switched their flight operations from various locations in Terminal 1 to Terminal 3.

The five domestic carriers, including JetBlue Airways, together accounted for 289 of the McCarran International Airport's 3,341 weekly flights as well as 1.6 million out of the 17.2 million passengers through H1 2012.

Media reports indicated that United Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines will also be moving their check-in counters and baggage claim to McCarran International Airport's new Terminal 3 from Terminal 1.
