Philippine Airlines planning to begin flights to Kuwait
Philippine Airlines flights to Kuwait might become a reality soon. According to recent media reports, Philippine Airlines, a legacy carrier under the management of San Miguel Corp., has filed an application with the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) seeking approval to launch flights between Manila and Kuwait during a summer schedule as well as starting the year 2013.
The airline in a statement said that it is looking forward to the approval soon as this will give opportunity to its customers to book Philippine Airlines flight tickets for the planned flights on Manila-Kuwait route to be operated seven times every week. The airline stated that its application would be taken up for hearing by CAB on January 15, 2013.
Philippine Airlines also indicated that it is also seeking approval to operate thrice weekly flights to Istanbul to be tentatively launched on August 5. Apart from this, the airline is also planning to operate flights to Cambodia starting from March 31 this year, if its request for four-times-per-week frequencies is approved by the CAB.
