Royal Brunei to boost Melbourne flights
Royal Brunei Airlines recently announced that its frequencies between Melbourne and Bandar Seri Begawan route will be increased to daily from the existing four-weekly effective March 25, 2012.
The airline in a statement said that the capacity increase is aimed at improving connections and providing travel options for passengers booking Royal Brunei flights tickets to travel between Melbourne and London, Sabah, Dubai, Sarawak, Bangkok and Manila.
Louise Asher, Victorian Minister for Tourism and Major Events, said that Southeast Asia continues to be one of Victoria’s fastest growing markets. The additional flight services being provided by Royal Brunei Airlines would enable greater trade and tourism linkages and create more opportunities across this valuable growth market.
Chris Woodruff, CEO of Melbourne Airport, pointed out that Royal Brunei Airline’s extensive Asian and European networks support Melbourne’s two most significant long-haul markets, China and UK, in addition to providing a link to Brunei.
