SilkAir to launch flights between Vizag and Singapore from October 20
Travelers from Singapore will get more options to visit Indian cities with the launch of new SilkAir flights this October.
SilkAir, a low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, recently announced it would be offering SilkAir flights tickets for travel to the Indian city of Vizag as the flights here are being launched starting from October 20, 2012.
Casey Ow Yong, Singapore Airlines’ Regional Vice President, West Asia and Africa, said that India is an important market for the airline. He said that both Singapore Airlines along with SilkAir are currently operating 85 flights every week from 10 cities, which is now being increased to 93 this winter.
Singapore’s national flag carrier Singapore Airlines has indicated that it will be increasing its flights frequencies from India in the coming winter schedule starting from October this year. Apart from this, the airline is also planning to offer flights services from new destinations.
The increasing of frequencies and launch of new routes would be offering holidaymakers more options to book SilkAir flights tickets as well as those by Singapore Airlines for travel between Singapore and India.
