SilkAir Private Limited is a Singapore based airline, which was established in the year 1976. It operates out of its hub in Singapore Changi Airport. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, at present it flies to about 44 destinations in Southeast Asia, Australia, China, and South Asia. It serves short-haul routes for its parent company. Bandar Seri Begawan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Darwin, Hanoi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Lombok, Macau, Medan, Phuket, Surabaya, Wuhan, and Yangon are the cities served by the airline. It has signed codeshare agreements with Bangkok Airways, Garuda Indonesia, Malaysia Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Virgin Australia. Currently, it operates a fleet of Airbus A320-200, and Airbus A319-100 series aircrafts. It allows unaccompanied minors to travel.
