Spirit Airlines expected to post nearly 30 percent revenue growth this year

Spirit Airlines flights are expected to put up a strong showing this year as the company continues to expand in recent years.

Spirit Airlines, the ultra-low cost carrier in the United States, is poised for a strong growth in 2012. The company in a statement said that it expects to post nearly 30 percent revenue growth this year.

The airline owns a young and growing fleet of Airbus aircrafts. The airline has also undertaken a massive expansion at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport over the past year, and has shown a continuous growth there taking full advantage of American Airlines’ bankruptcy woes.

Media reports said that though Spirit Airlines might have to face slight pressure because of the new government regulations which has forced it to disclose more fees upfront.

Other small cap carriers poised for profits, include Hawaiian Airlines and Allegiant Air. Hawaiian Airlines capacity grew by nearly 13 percent in Q1 this year, and is further expected to show an impressive growth in Q2 as well. Allegiant Air has also posted 36 consecutive profitable quarters, and has considerably shown the ability to quickly adapt to changing industry trends (such as high fuel prices) while maintaining industry leading margins.
