Spirit Airlines eyeing more flights from Las Vegas

Spirit Airlines recent decision to place a crew base comprising 200 employees of the airline at Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport gives sufficient indications that the airline is eyeing more flights in future from Las Vegas, according to media reports.

For quite some time, Spirit Airlines is paying keen attention on Las Vegas with its expandable crew base at McCarran International Airport. The airline has also acquired a fleet of new jets.

Besides its new crew base at McCarran, Spirit Airlines flights also started operating twice-daily between McCarran International Airport and Mesa Gateway Airport in suburban Phoenix.

Tony Lefebvre, Chief Operating Officer of Spirit Airlines, said that the recent developments and steps taken by the airline has given enough hints to Las Vegans that Spirit Airlines has incredible future plans for the city, including introducing new flights out of here.

The passengers now have a great opportunity to book Spirit flights tickets to Las Vegas as the airline will begin two daily flights to and from Denver starting from May 3, 2012. The airline will also begin seasonal nonstop flights to Las Vegas from Fort Lauderdale from next month.
