Spirit Airlines February 2012 traffic up 25.4 percent

Spirit Airlines recently announced its preliminary traffic results for February 2012 and sounded optimistic at the outcome.

Spirit flights had a good run this February as highlighted by the preliminary traffic results reported by the airline.

The airline in a statement said its passenger traffic (revenue passenger miles) in February 2012 increased 25.4 percent as compared to February 2011 on a capacity (available seat miles) increase of 21.5 percent.

Providing further details, the airline stated that its load factor for February 2012 was 85.1 percent, an increase of 2.7 points as compared to February 2011.
