Spirit Airlines flights moved to Terminal E satellite gates because of DFW airport renovation

Passengers booking Spirit Airlines flights tickets and traveling out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport will now have to board their flights from Terminal E satellite gates.

The airline recently announced it has now moved Spirit Airlines flights at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to the Terminal E satellite gates.

According to the airline, this is being done because of the ongoing $1.9 billion renovation project at the airport.

Spirit Airlines in a statement said that the passengers would be boarding the flights from a nine-gate sub terminal, which is being now used for the first times since 2005.

Media reports said that US Airways would also be moving its flight operations to the satellite terminal early next year.

Terminal E is also being used by other U.S. carriers like Delta Air Lines and Continental Airlines, which will be taking turns in shifting to the satellite terminal whenever required since their portion of the main terminal is currently undergoing renovations.
