Spirit Airlines planning to expand their netwrok across U.S.

Spirit Airlines flights are all set to take over the whole of United States. Media reports citing Spirit Airline’s route map and its fleet plan indicate that Spirit Airlines has set its eyes over the entire country and spread its flight network.

Media reports said that Spirit Airlines currently has 42 Airbus A320 family aircrafts and is planning to acquire 68 more such aircrafts by the end of 2015. Apart from the 68 aircrafts, it has also placed orders for 75 more planes.

Presently, Spirit Airlines has 28 aircrafts on lease and could be returning some of them. The airline would thus be taking 40 aircrafts between 2016 and 2021. The airline has indicated that it would be having nearly 160 aircrafts in 2012, which will be four times bigger than its current fleet size.

The airline in a statement said that whenever it adds its capacity, it also keeps on adding the number of passengers at the same rate.
