JetBlue Airways aiming 150 daily flights at Logan International Airport

JetBlue Airways recently disclosed that it is actively considering increasing its current 100 flights to 150 daily flights to/from Logan International Airport.

Expressing his optimism, CEO of JetBlue Airways David Barger said the airline is being given entire Terminal C to accommodate the expansion. He, however, declined to provide any specific timeline regarding the decision over Terminal C handover.

Barger said the decision depends on Massport, the agency that runs Logan International Airport. He said that the decision should be taken rather sooner than later. At the same time, he also said that changes are likely after the peak holiday travel season is over.

JetBlue Airways CEO also indicated that the airline is looking forward to adding flights to Providence. He said that he is quite impressed with the infrastructure at Providence’s T.F. Green Airport. Besides, the airline is considering adding flights to Worcester keeping in with a request by Massport officials regarding the start of flight services.

JetBlue Airways is the leading low cost carrier in the United States with its main hub at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The airlines focus is on providing cheap flights to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and San Juan. The airline operates flight services to 70 destinations in 22 US states, including Puerto Rico. Besides, it also operates flights to eleven countries in Latin America, South America and the Caribbean.
