JetBlue Airways Irene-affected customers to be waived change fees

JetBlue Airways, a leading low cost carrier in the US providing discounted airfare to customers, has announced that it has decided to waive change/cancel fees, including fare differences, for its customers who have been affected by tropical storm Irene.

The tropical storm Irene had greatly impacted and affected the lives in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic areas.

The airline said that its decision is applicable for customers traveling on August 23, 2011 to/from the cities which includes Puerto Rico, Aguadilla (BQN), Punta Cana (PUJ), San Juan (SJU), Dominican Republic, Ponce (PSE), Puerto Plata (POP), Santiago (STI) and Santo Domingo (SDQ).

JetBlue Airways also said that the customers are permitted to rebook their flights for traveling on August 27, 2011. Besides, in the case of cancelled flights the customers can also seek refund of their original payment.
