JetBlue Airways moving to new Portland International Jetport terminal

JetBlue Airways recently disclosed that it will be moving to the new terminal at Portland International Jetport giving a joyous, whole new experience to its passengers starting Sunday morning.

US Airways is the other airline apart from JetBlue Airways to move to the new terminal. Other airlines will follow suit and shift to the new terminal from February 2012.

The newly designed terminal built at an estimated US$75 million is all set to provide great ease and convenience to the passengers when it is inaugurated this Sunday morning. Passengers arriving at the airport to board their flights can straightaway head off to the new terminal through climate controlled walkway after parking their vehicles on the3rd floor of the garage. 

The kiosks installed there will help them in taking printouts of their boarding passes. The passengers not carrying their luggage can go directly to security. However, the passengers with luggage will no longer be required to carry their bags to security from ticketing as a conveyor belt installed will take the bags directly to a new security screening area. The airport officials said that full body scanners will be installed soon in the passenger security screening area.
