Kenya Airways new lounges at Nairobi airport’s Terminal Four

African carriers are into a stiff competition to attract premium passengers in a big way. Leading airlines in Africa such as Kenya Airways, South African Airways and Ethiopian Airlines are making huge investments to upgrade business class lounges and trying to increase profitability by providing incentives to business travelers.

The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi is all set to open its new terminal facility for the passengers in 2014. Taking this opportunity, Kenya Airways has already indicated that it will open two new lounges in Terminal Four. These state-of-the-art lounges will offer a great flying experience to the airline’s customers.

Two lounges are already being operated by Kenya Airways. These lounges are based at the existing terminal, and are a bit inconvenient for the passengers as these are at quite a distance from the boarding gates. The arriving passengers reach the lounge only after passing through the passport control. During peak hours, a space crunch is being felt at the two existing lounges. These lounges can no longer be termed state-of-the-art because of the service quality issues.

The two new lounges being built at Terminal 4 would be modern and state-of-the-art. The new lounges will offer premium service to the business travelers. The lounges will be equipped with a wide range of amenities and facilities for the passengers. The lounges will feature comfortable arm chairs, massage service rooms, sauna room, shower rooms, dedicated rest rooms and exclusive dining areas. The passengers will also keep themselves entertained with TVs and, newspapers and magazines.
