Spirit Airlines San Diego-Las Vegas flights begins September 7

Spirit Airlines has announced that it will launch nonstop flights to Las Vegas from San Diego International Airport from September 7, 2011.

This will be the first flight service on the San Diego route for Spirit Airlines.

According to a statement, the inaugural flight on its arrival at Las Vegas airport at 6.15 pm will be greeted by a traditional water cannon salute. Later, the return flight will depart from Las Vegas at 6.55 pm.

Spirit Airlines will currently operate two daily nonstop flights on San Diego-Las Vegas route. The flights will depart from San Diego at 7 am and 6.55 pm, while the return flights from Las Vegas will be at 5.05 pm and 9.10 pm.

The airline, which will be utilizing a 145-seat Airbus 319-100, also said that it will add a 10.10 am flight to San Diego and a noon flight to Las Vegas on September 22, 2011. 

Spirit Airlines will become the third airline to introduce new San Diego-Las Vegas route this year.
