Thirty five percent of its inhabitants are born abroad, making it even more multicultural than New York!

Some of its famous dishes include Eggplant in garlic curry and thick yogurt, Mutton Kebobs prepared in Bengali fashion curry, and Jackfruit prepared in cumin curry and black cardamom.

The city shares a strong air network with the rest of the world. It is well connected to destinations within and outside Canada through different airlines that operate service. Carriers like Air Canada, British Airways, and KLM provide flights to London. Cathay Pacific, Alaska Airlines, and China Eastern offer flights to Beijing. Qantas and Air New Zealand fly between the city and Sydney. Likewise, United Airlines, US Airways, and Delta Air Lines provide flights to New York and other parts of the United States.

The city has several accommodation options for different kinds of travelers. Seymour Avenue, East Hastings Avenue, West Georgia Street, Robson Street, Granville Street, Nelson Street, Kingsway, Gilford Street, Hamilton Street, and Burrard Street are some of the neighborhoods that offer cheap hotels in Vancouver. However, there is no dearth of mid range and luxury hotels in the city either.
