Emirates Airline launching flights to Erbil starting August 12

Middle East’s leading carrier Emirates Airline recently announced it will be launching its flights services to Erbil in August this year.

The airline in a statement said that Emirates Airline flights to Erbil from Dubai will be launched from August 12, 2012.

Erbil, which is Iraqi Kurdistan’s capital, will be Emirates Airline’s 17th Middle East destination. The launch of flights to Erbil in August will be the airline’s 3rd destination in Iraq after Baghdad and Basra.

According to the airline, the new flights between Dubai and Erbil will be initially operated four times every week, on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Later, the airline will be increasing the flight frequencies on Dubai-Erbil route to a daily service from September 1, 2012.

Emirates Airline will be deploying Airbus 340-300 aircraft to operate flights between Dubai and Erbil. The aircraft operating on this route will be offering 267 seats, and will be configured in three classes – First Class, Business Class and Economy Class.
