Spirit Airlines new Chicago, Las Vegas flights from Minneapolis May 31

Spirit Airlines recently announced that it will be launching new nonstop flights to Chicago O’Hare and Las Vegas from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport effective May 31, 2012.

Spirit Airlines flights between Minneapolis and Chicago will be operated three-times daily from May 31. Besides, the passengers will also be able to book Spirit Airlines tickets for daily nonstop flights between Minneapolis and Las Vegas to be launched the same day. 

Since 2008, Spirit Airlines is the fourth carrier to announce flights service at Minneapolis-St. Paul. The launch of flights also highlights the commitment of the airline and the strength of the Minneapolis-St. Paul market for business and leisure travel services.

Rosemarie S. Andolino, Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner, said that the new service to Minneapolis-St. Paul by the airline has enhanced competition and expands options for travelers at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

Dan Boivin, Chairman of the Metropolitan Airports Commission, expressed pleasure and welcomed Spirit Airlines to launch its service to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Boivin also hoped that the airline’s unique low-fare business model will prove to be a valuable alternative for the travelers.
