American Airlines Empowered Its Crew to Repay Travelers during In-Flight Problems

American Airlines has now empowered its flight attendants to grant frequent flyer miles to its passengers as remuneration for several in-flight difficulties. Formerly, such compensation was given only by reservation and gate agents in times of any cancellations or delays. In terms of various in-flight issues, travelers had to submit the complaints in writing for repayment.

The recent airline plan is a blessing in disguise for passengers in which they get such award on the spot by the flight attendants. Ross Feinstein, one of the spokespersons of the Airlines stated, ‘We want our passengers to fly and land with a positive experience. Not only it brings a feeling of comfort amongst the travelers but our attendants take pride of the good satisfaction they provide.’ Feinstein further added, the miles are added depending upon the severity of the problem. Travelers who are not entitled for the AAdvantage frequent flyer programme can fill out a form to avail different types of remuneration. The award miles are offered by using tablet computers which the attendants carry while on board.
