American Airlines starts Miami-Frankfurt flights

American Airlines recently launched its new flights to Frankfurt from its hub at Miami International Airport. The flights started operating in third week of May. The new direct flights between the two cities will be conducted daily with the help of a Boeing 767-300 aircraft.

The launch of flights on the route by American Airlines will provide passengers traveling on the route additional travel options. The Miami-Frankfurt route is also being served daily by Germany’s flagship carrier Lufthansa as well.

Carlos A. Gimenez, Mayor of Miami-Dade County, expressed delight at the launch of new flights to Frankfurt by American Airlines and said that the airline continues to be an important partner for Miami International Airline as ever and is serving the community quite well.

Media reports also quoted business leaders from the two cities as saying that the launch of new flights between Miami and Frankfurt will boost the local economy of these places and strengthen business relations between Miami’s international banking and financial sector and Europe’s financial heart Frankfurt. The new service is also expected to boost the tourism prospects as well.

The reports said that American Airlines will be launching flights services to new destinations in Latin America from June this year. These destinations include Monterrey in Mexico and Barranquilla in Colombia. The flights to the two destinations will be operated from Miami International Airport.

According to the reports, Miami International Airport will also see flights from other destinations as well from July 2015. Aruba Airlines is all set to launch flights between Miami and Aruba. Argentina’s flagship carrier Aerolineas Argentinas will also begin flights between Cordoba and Miami from the same month.
