Delta Air Lines to continue in Shoals until April

Passengers taking Delta Air Lines flights out of Shoals needn’t worry at all as they will continue to get air tickets and travel to various destinations within the United States.

Delta Air Lines will continue to provide air service to Northwest Alabama Regional Airport as the U.S. Department of Transportation has asked the airline to stay in the Shoals until at least April 10, 2012.

The city officials are looking for another airline to serve Shoals in place of Delta Air Lines.

With its headquarters in Atlanta, Delta Air Lines along with its subsidiary Delta Connection currently serve 342 destinations in 61 countries spread over six continents.

Delta Air Lines, including its worldwide alliance partners like Air France-KLM and Alitalia, offers more than 13,000 daily flights, with hubs in Atlanta, Amsterdam, Detroit, Cincinnati, New York JFK, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Memphis, Salt Lake City, Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Tokyo-Narita.
