Atlanta is a city of commerce, art, fine dining and historic attractions. It's one of the most popular destinations in the southeastern region of the U.S., and for good reason. You'll will find endless things to do in The Big Peach.

Art and Culture
Museum goers and art lovers will find lots to do in Atlanta - whether you're in town for a weekend or a week, you can fill every day with art and natural wonders. For example, the Fernbank Museum of Natural History is home to permanent exhibits of dinosaurs and other giants from the past. It also features regular traveling exhibits designed to educate and amaze visitors. For something a little more modern, check out the Georgia Aquarium, which houses over 120,000 animals. Fun for the whole family, visitors of the aquarium can watch peaceful tropical scenes, take in a dolphin show or even hop into the water with some beluga whales.

At the High Museum of Art, you can see ancient and contemporary African art, powerful photos of the Civil Rights Movement, works of Renaissance artists and contemporary pieces. If you’re looking for live art, head to the Fox Theatre, where you can see ballet, standup comedy, children’s plays and magic shows. For amazing architecture, a visit to the Swan House is in order. There you can wander through the neoclassical home of early 20th century cotton brokers. Beautiful buildings and blooming gardens are just waiting to be explored.

Atlanta Sports
Atlanta is home to some today’s best professional athletes, and that’s nothing new. Sports lovers should check out the College Football Hall of Fame. The facility features augmented reality displays where users can select images and videos of their favorite college athletes and relive exciting past experiences. Meanwhile, fans of the Atlanta Falcons can take a tour of the Georgia Dome to see where their favorite team plays and practices. Philips Arena also offers exciting sights for basketball fans. Why not check out all three?

National History
Atlanta is where famed Civil Rights Activist and proponent of peaceful protest, Martin Luther King Jr. called home. His birthplace and tomb are now a national park where visitors can pay their respects and learn about the Civil Right’s movement. Across the street from King’s burial site is the Martin Luther King Jr. “I Have a Dream” World Peace Rose Garden, filled with flowers a various colors and fragrances. It’s a great spot to have a thoughtful moment during your trip.
