Emirates to begin three-daily flights to Manchester

In a show of one-upmanship, Emirates Air has announced that it would be introducing three-time daily service to Manchester from 1st May 2011, leaving behind its competitors Etihad and Qatar Airways with only twice-daily flights respectively. With this, Emirates will become the only airlines to provide three daily flights from Manchester.

In a statement, the airline said that it will add the third daily flight that will depart from Manchester at 09.40 am and will arrive in Dubai at 07.50 pm. The round trip flight will leave Dubai at 03.00 am and will land at Manchester at 07.55 am.

The aircraft A330-200 has been configured into three classes – 12 first class seats, 42 business class seats and 183 coach class seats. Business and first class passengers will enjoy the comfort of Emirate’s ICE inflight entertainment system, whereas coach class travelers will have the choice of “over 15 film and TV channels, 50 games and over 50 hours of music”.

There will be an increase of 25 percent in the capacity of carrier that will be flying from Manchester. The new service will also make the airline offer three different aircrafts such as A330-200 in the morning flight service, A380 superjumbo during lunchtime and B777-300ER in the evening flights from Manchester.

According to the airline, the travelers traveling through the morning flights will be provided the opportunity to travel to other destinations in Thailand, Indian sub-continent and the Middle East.
