Manila: A budding business and leisure hub in South East Asia

Manila is a city that encompasses the richness and affluence of Philippines, a country fast catching up with its rivals as an important South East Asian travel destination. To link the city with another thriving business center, China Eastern Airlines recently announced the launch of its daily service on Manila-Shanghai route beginning October 18, 2013. The decision is a part of the airline’s endeavor to strengthen its South Asian network and connect the two popular Asian cities with each other. The new route will be served by Airbus A320 aircrafts comprising 8 business class seats. Philippines Airlines is also gearing to take on the stiff competition posed by Middle Eastern carriers between Manila and other important European cities. As a part of its attempt the airline is set to launch direct service on Manila-London route by the end of October this year, with a travel time of 13 hours. The airline also plans to connect the city with Amsterdam, Rome, Frankfurt and Paris by the end of 2013.

Considering the fact that Philippines is an emerging market, Emirates will start flights between Dubai and Los Angeles, second city after Manila in the country. The new service will commence on October 1, 2013. With this passengers will have a chance to book their business class flights from various cities to Manila at highly competitive rates.
