Spirit Airlines Adds New Routes

Spirit Airlines, a low cost carrier of the USA known for its cost cutting methods and for offer exceptionally cheap airline tickets will soon be launching two new routes for its summer and fall season. In an announcement made recently the airline informed the media staring with two new Midwestern routes.

Spirit Airlines will offer nonstop seasonal service to Portland and Baltimore from Chicago. To be launched between May 22 and November 1, 2014, this Miramar based airline will be operating 18 nonstop cities from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. Apart from this Spirit for this same period will also be offering a daily nonstop seasonal flight between Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

This news comes just days after the airlines’ announcement of launching nonstop flight service between Oakland International Airport and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

This is good news for passengers flying to and from Chicago to these three cities, as the presence of low-fare provider, Spirit Airlines in these three key markets will add to severe rivalry and more alternatives for them, leading directly into far more cheaper airfares.
