United Airlines launching new program to pamper premium customers

United Airlines will be launching new program soon to pamper premium customers with several perks taking flights out of Los Angeles International Airport. The move of the airline has come somewhat late. Several leading carriers worldwide are already providing excellent services to those traveling in First Class and Business Class cabins.

Media reports said that United Airlines will ferry its premium customers on chauffeur-driven Mercedes Benz cars to another airline to board their second connecting flight.

Delta Air Lines is already providing complimentary Porsche rides to its lucrative customers for past several months now at Los Angeles International Airport. The airline first rolled out the service in Atlanta in 2011.

American Airlines has devised plan of another kind to attract premium fliers. The airline is not providing free car rides to the customers. It has instead designated a private check-in area which is away from the bustle of terminal crowds. The airline has made huge investments into service upgrades in its First and Business Class on the highly profitable Los Angeles-New York route.

Apart from this, American Airlines also recently announced that it will be launching new flat-bed seats in its Business Class on Boeing 777-200 aircrafts, which are being currently operated on routes to Tokyo, Shanghai and Sao Paulo from Los Angeles. The airline is claiming the new flat-bed seats to be most luxurious than what was being provided until now.

Travel experts say that the trend of offering enhanced services and perks to premium travelers is growing at a frenetic pace. The customers traveling to/from airports in big cities are the greatest beneficiaries. The airlines are adding new flights and doing everything they can to attract high-paying passengers in a big way.

The reports said that airlines believe that investing heavily in premium travel classes makes great sense since nearly 70 percent of revenue is coming from only 20 percent of elite passengers.
