Virgin Atlantic Airways recently inaugurated its maiden flights between Manchester and San Francisco. The new service became operational from March 27, 2017. This also marked the airline’s launch of series of new long haul routes to the United States this year.
Apart from Manchester-San Francisco service, the airline also close on the heels launched new flights from Manchester to Boston effective from March 28 as per the ongoing summer schedule. Moreover, Virgin Atlantic Airways further stated that its year-round service between Manchester and New York JFK will be launched in May this year.
A spokesperson of Virgin Atlantic Airways while providing details about the new schedule said that the outbound flights will depart from Manchester at 11:20 hours and arrive in San Francisco at 14:40 hour local time. The return flight will make its departure from San Francisco at 17:50 hour and reaches Manchester at 11:40 hour local time. The flights between the two destinations will be operated thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The airline will be operating flights between Manchester and Boston two-times per week on Wednesdays and Sundays. The flight will take off from Manchester at 11:20 hours and arrives in Boston at 16:55 hour. The return flight will depart from Boston at 19:10 hour and reaches Manchester at 06:45 hour.
The flights on both Manchester-San Francisco and Manchester-Boston routes will be operated on a seasonal basis until October end this year. However, the Manchester-New York service will be year-round. Virgin Atlantic Airways in a statement said that it will be operating all the three routes in partnership with Delta Air Lines. Travel and business experts from the UK and United States have hoped that the launch of the three routes would prove to be advantageous for the people of both the countries as it is expected to boost trade ties and economic growth in these regions.
