Virgin Atlantic deploys A330 on Gatwick-Orlando route

Virgin Atlantic Airways after receiving the delivery of its second A330 aircraft deployed the new aircraft over the Gatwick-Orlando route. The new aircraft, which is featured with brand new coach class seats and a new IFE system, took off its first flight on 1st May 2011.

As per the statement released by the airline the new coach class seats feature an articulated seat-pan, which moves in-line with the backrest while in the reclined position and thus provide more comfort to the passenger. The backrest with a high pivot also provides extra room at the knee area while in the recline position.

The airline received the delivery of two new aircrafts out of the total ordered ten A330s. The new two aircrafts will operate on leisure routes in a two-class layout such as coach class and premium economy class. The rest eight aircrafts that are yet to be delivered will be featured with three classes and a cabin reserved for the Upper Class.
