Cheap Tickets to Antigua

Antigua is a Caribbean destination. It is a Leeward Island in the Caribbean Sea. It is a part of the West Indies archipelago and a very popular name in the region. The island is blessed with natural beauty, turquoise waters, stunning shorelines, abundant outdoor adventures, and a pleasant weather. Travelers throng the island to celebrate life and togetherness with their loved ones. No matter the time, no matter the distance, travelers from different parts of the world flock here to enjoy its plush outdoors and immaculate beauty. Whether it is about adventure sports, sightseeing, dining, shopping, or simply spending time with your loved ones, this place sets a perfect backdrop for an ideal vacation.

The island of Antigua is beautiful and houses some very stunning and gorgeous attractions. Of the many, the ones listed on Antigua City Guide include Nelson's Dockyard, Mount Obama, Fort James, Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, St. John's Cathedral, Government House, and Dockyard Museum. Mount Obama was erstwhile known as Boggy Peak until it got a new name on August 4, 2009. It is the highest point in the entire Antigua and Barbuda region. Standing at 1,319 feet from sea level, this peak offers an exciting activity for hikers who love to climb up to its zenith. Interestingly, the nation renamed this peak in honor of the 44th President of the United States Barak Obama. Museum of Antigua and Barbuda is in the city of St. John’s. Located in the compound of the Court House, which was built in 1747, the museum captures the fantasy of the art lovers. In fact, this building is the oldest building in the country that is pretty much functional still. One can find a vast collection of colonial artifacts and Arawaks here. The highlight of the museum however, is the cricket bat that once belonged to the legendry Sir Vivian Richards.

The best time to plan a trip to the isle of Antigua is between May and November. The weather is nice and there is little threat of the deadly hurricanes. Even the prices are affordable for a budget friendly vacation with your family and loved ones.
