Singapore Airlines Limited (SIA) is the flagship airline of Singapore. The five-star airline was established in the year 1947, but commenced operations in 1972. It operates out of its hub in Singapore Changi Airport. At present, the airline flies to over 60 destinations across the world. Abu Dhabi, Adelaide, Auckland, Bangkok, Brussels, Cairo, Cape Town, Chicago, Colombo, Hiroshima, Istanbul, Jakarta, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, Moscow, Vancouver, Toronto, Zurich, and Sydney are some of the cities served by the airline. It has signed codeshare agreements with Aegean Airlines, Air Canada, Air India, Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, Brussels Airlines, EgyptAir, EVA Air, Ethiopian Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, LOT Polish Airlines, and Lufthansa. It has also signed the same agreement with Malaysia Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, SilkAir, South African Airways, Swiss International Air Lines, Transaero Airlines, Turkish Airlines, US Airways, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Virgin America, and Virgin Australia. It is a part of Star Alliance. Its frequent flyer program is called Kris flyer and PPS Club. Scoot, SilkAir, and Singapore Airlines Cargo are its subsidiaries.
