In 1929, a small company started offering inter-island flights on just two 8-seater aircraft. Today, Hawaiian Airlines is the largest airline in the Aloha State and the 11th largest carrier in the country. The airline has been consistently recognized for on-time flights, few cancellations and careful baggage handling. Hawaiian Airlines has the distinction of being the oldest US airline with a flawless safety record; there has never been a fatal crash in the carrier’s 82 year history.
Nearly all Hawaiian Airlines flights pass through the airline’s hub at Honolulu International Airport. The airline’s other focus city is Kahului Airport on the island of Maui. Hawaiian Airlines serves 22 destinations on the Pacific Rim. Travelers get Hawaiian Airlines deals to and from Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, the West Coast of the United States, Australia, Fiji and American Samoa.
