Fly with Hong Kong Express Airways
Hong Kong Express Airways is a low-cost carrier based in Hong Kong. It is first and presently the sole low-cost carrier in Hong Kong. Ever since Hong Kong Express Airways launched its flight operations to Asian destinations from 27th October 2013, the airline has spurred the air travel market in Hong Kong and the surrounding region and brought stiff competition. The airline first introduced flights to five destinations in Thailand, Malaysia, China and Taiwan on October 27. These destinations include Taichung, Kunming, Kota Kinabalu, Phuket and Chiang Mai. The airline again started new flights to Tokyo on November 7, Penang on November 14 and Osaka on November 21, 2013. Currently, Hong Kong Express Airways owns a fleet of five Airbus A320 aircraft and further plans to expand its fleet by including six more Airbus A320 aircrafts in 2014. This will bring the total capacity of the fleet to 11 Airbus aircrafts. The airline has indicated that it wants to bring a total of 30 Airbus A320 aircrafts to its fleet by 2018.
Hong Kong Express Airways operates an all-Airbus fleet of 174-seater A320 aircrafts with a single economy class layout.
