Fly with Iran Air
Iran Air, the national carrier of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was founded in May 1944. It initially operated under the name of ‘Iranian Airways’. The airline launched its first commercial flight on a domestic route between Tehran and Mashhad soon after the World War II. Another private carrier ‘Pars Airways’ came into being in 1954, which provided freight services to only Europe. However, the government of Iran finally decided to merge both Iranian Airways and Pars Airways and a new airline called ‘IranAir’ was formed. The government decided to give the new airline status of a national airline on 10th February 1961. The new airline started its operations in April 1962. Currently, IranAir is serving 25 domestic destinations and 35 international routes.
Iran Air offers its customers travel in two classes – Business Class (Homa Class) and Economy Class.
