Shandong Airlines was founded on 12th March 1994. The airline is a venture of the Shandong Provincial Committee and Government duly authorized by the State General Administration of Civil Administration. A subsidiary of Air China, the airline has acquired a 10 percent stake in another Chinese carrier Sichuan Airlines. Shandong Airlines has its headquarters located in Jinan, Shandong Province. The airline mostly provides flight services primarily on domestic routes to important cities in east China from its main hub at Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport. The airline also operates flights from its secondary hubs at Yantai Laishan International Airport and Qingdao Liuting International Airport, both of which are its focus cities. Currently, Shandong Airlines is providing above 2,000 flights to major cities spread across 60 countries. The airline also operates on international routes to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
Shandong Airlines offers Economy Class on its Boeing 737-300 and Boeing 737-700 fleet. The airline provides two classes – First Class and Economy Class – on its Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
