Articulates Joachim Hunold, CEO Airberlin during the press conference in New York, “airberlin has committed to join the prime airline alliance oneworld in 2012 and will start offering codeshare flights with American Airlines as of November. For us, it therefore was another important step to further develop the long-haul market and enhance our network in the U.S.”

Passenger from US can travel to Europe with flights via Berlin to Germany, the Nordic Countries, Switzerland and Austria. Then, it will offer flight from Berlin and Düsseldorf to the Big Apple throughout the year. On March 28, 2011 flights to German metropolis will start.
