Spanair plan to launch new flights from Birmingham to Madrid and Barcelona. According to Spanair both Madrid and Barcelona flights are in operation from May. Spanair plan to serve Barcelona four times weekly from May 20, while the Madrid service will operate three times daily from May 21.

Spanair also added that both routes will be plied with A320 aircraft with 168 seats and two class layout i.e. economy and business class.
