South African Airlines and JetBlue Airways recently launched the codeshare flights. The agreement was signed in the mid of 2010 for the codesharing of flights between the two airlines. The new codesharing tie-up would help in the expansion of the network connectivity between United States for both the airlines.
The travelers would now be able to book tickets on SAA that has its gateways at New York and Washington D.C. to 18 more cities in United States and South Africa where JetBlue operates its flights. Further, the travelers would have easy connections to over 45 destinations covering Southern Africa, Eastern Africa, and African Islands in the Indian Ocean.
SAA is the only airline that serves most of the African cities. SAA, JetBlue codeshare flight service would operate between Johannesburg and several United States destinations such as Austin, Boston Chicago, Denver, and others. All the flights would be operating via New York.
