Hainan Airlines, the exclusive Skytrax 5-star in mainland China and the 7th in the world since January 10, 2011, will soon launch its three-time weekly non-stop flight service between Zurich and Beijing from 31st May 2011. The airline will be using its A330 aircraft equipped with 34 business class and 179 economy class seats.
The new flight service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sunday. The airline is expected to increase the flight frequency depending upon the market demand.
The airline started its operation in 1993 and is still considered as the safest carrier by the Chinese as well as Canadian transport high officials.
The airline operates around 500 flights across the world and has its central operations in Beijing and Haikou. The other operational bases include Xi’an, Urumqi, Taiyuan, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, with current network, which covers approximately 100 destinations across the world.
The airline operates its flight service to Budapest, Brussels, Berlin and now to Zurich, which makes it as its fourth destination in Europe.
The flights will depart from Zurich at 01.20 pm and will arrive in Beijing in the next morning at 05.20 am. The round trip flight will depart from Beijing at 01.50 am and will arrive in Zurich at 07.05 on the same day. The flight timings will provide the travelers with other connecting flights service to other destination.
The airline also codeshare its flights with Air Berlin its prime partners from Zurich to Beijing via Berlin.
