United Continental Holdings Inc., the merger airline of United and Continental recently announced the launch of daily flight service between Hong Kong and Tokyo.  Beginning the service from 31st October 2011, the airline will operate its Boeing B737-800 aircraft over the Hong Kong – Tokyo route.

The airline in a statement said that it will configure the aircraft’s 155 seats into 14 business class seats and 141coach class seats.

The new flights will depart from Hong Kong at 10.30am and will arrive in Tokyo at 03.40pm. The round trip flight will then depart from Tokyo at 05.05pm and will arrive in Hong Kong at 09.15pm.

Before the merger of United and Continental, United Airlines used to operate flights on this route, but had to withdraw due to the scarcity of time slots at Tokyo.
