Etihad Airways recently launched free redemptions promotion ‘Redeem for 5 and get 1 Free’ offer for its customers as part of the Etihad Guest loyalty scheme’s 5th anniversary celebrations.

Under the promotion offer the members of the Etihad Guest loyalty scheme will see their redemption miles refunded for every fifth award ticket booked between now and July 31. The offer is valid for redemptions against Guest Seats and Open Seats.

The members will qualify for miles reimbursement for every multiple of five booking made within the promotional period, and will be reimbursed for the ticket with the least mileage value. Though miles and cash redemptions are included in the offer, but only the miles value will be refunded. Miles redeemed for upgrades do not qualify for the promotion.

Terms and conditions

•     Promotion applicable for bookings made on Guest Seats and Open Seats.
•     This offer is valid for bookings starting June 1 until July 31, 2011.
•     All 5 tickets must be issued on or before the 31st of July, they need not be issued at the same time or same day.
•     Tickets issued in connection with this promotion cannot be cancelled and are non refundable.
•     The travel validity for Guest Seats is for one year from the date of issue. The relevant fare rule applies for Open Seat ticket validity.
•     To qualify for the promotion, tickets must be booked selecting the "Avail this special offer" link on the booking page or by calling the Etihad Guest Service Centre quoting the promotion code "RED5"
•     Members may use the full miles or Miles + Cash option. Only the miles value will be re-credited back for tickets where the Miles + Cash option has been used.
•     The order in which you book the tickets will be considered for determining the ticket with the least miles value.
•     If more than 5 tickets are booked during the promotion period, then the number of tickets in sets of 5 will be considered at the end of the promotion i.e. If 10 tickets are booked during the promotion period, then miles for 2 tickets which qualify as per the terms of the promotion will be re-credited to the members account.
•     This offer is applicable for all Adult and Child tickets. Infant tickets do not qualify for this promotion.
•     Redemption tickets can be booked on all routes subject to seat availability.
•     Applicable for both return and/or one way tickets.
•     Miles redeemed for flight upgrades will not qualify for this promotion.
