Qantas Airways was recently awarded for the ‘Best-Presented First Class Wine List’ during the annual Business Traveller Cellars in the Sky awards 2012 presentation ceremony in London.
Qantas Airways managed to get the greatest number of awards for 2012. The prizes won by the airline included those for Best First Class Sparkling (shared with Oman Air), Best Overall Wine Cellar, and Best Business Class Sparkling (shared with Singapore Airlines).
Apart from Qantas Airways, other leading global airlines to win awards in various First Class categories include Malaysia Airlines, British Airways, All Nippon Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa, Oman Air, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways and Air France.
The Business Traveller Cellars in the Sky awards are being presented since 1985. The awards are given to recognize the best wines served in first class flights by airlines worldwide. The awards also recognize such wine offerings in the business class cabins. A total of 33 airlines competed for the awards.
