Dubai-based Emirates Airlines is interested in increasing its flights to India. The airline is waiting anxiously for a positive outcome to be yielded from the talks conducted between United Arab Emirates and India.
Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airlines during the launch of superjumbo aircraft, Airbus A380 said that, India has a great business potential and we at Emirates have known this fact for long. But due to the present rules we haven’t yet been able to explore this potential market to its fullest. He further said that Emirates at present is constrained to fly with limited seats to few cities only, however the airline is interested in doubling up its seats capacity and adding at least five new cities to its destination list.
Clark said that the airline is hoping that the bilateral talks between the countries ends at a positive note and that they are allowed to expand their network. He also said that Indian customers are mostly underserved and hence Emirates would like to extend its top-quality service to Indian passengers, for which the airlines is known for last 2 decades.
