Canada’s leading carrier WestJet recently announced it has signed a codeshare agreement with the French national flag carrier Air France to enable seamless air connectivity to the customers traveling between the two countries.
WestJet in a statement said that the codeshare partnership will enable Air France to offer opportunity to its customers to book air tickets at competitive rates and travel to 10 new destinations in Canada.
According to the airline, the codeshare pact has allowed Air France to place its flight code on select WestJet-operated flights from Toronto to Halifax, Moncton, Saint-John’s, Quebec City, Ottawa, Thuder Bay, Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton and Vancouver.
Apart from this, Air France has also placed its flight code on WestJet-operated Winniped and Calgary flights for both Montreal and Toronto connections to Air France’s direct flights to Paris.
WestJet revealed that this is its ninth codeshare agreement. The airline also has 21 interline relationships with other carriers.
