Qantas Airways, Australia’s national flag carrier and the country’s largest carrier, recently unveiled special flight deals to Asia.
The airline’s cheap flights to Asia offer has come at a time when it is entering into an alliance with Emirates Airline and wants to fill up 40 percent more seats on routes to Singapore that has resulted with this tie-up.
By providing discounted airfares to Asia, Qantas Airways wants to significantly attract more passengers to fly with it.
Simon Hickey, Chief Executive Officer of Qantas Airways’ international unit, said that now when the carrier has entered into an alliance with Emirates Airline it has still got a lot of capacity to fill.
Hickey said that the airline discounts offer would be effective from April this year as Qantas Airways will begin expanding its capacity to Asian cities. The airline has cut one-way fares to Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong. The customers are now being offered cheap tickets at $360 each way.
