Qatar Airways recently announced a one-way codeshare agreement with JetBlue Airways between Washington Dulles International Airport and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. Since 2011 both Qatar and JetBlue have been interline partners offering customers the comfort of purchasing single ticket for JetBlue and Qatar operated flights. The passengers were also able to enjoy benefits like baggage transfer and one-stop check-in.
With this one-way code sharing passengers will now be able to purchase air tickets having Qatar Airways flight code for sector operated by JetBlue. With this agreement Qatar Passengers will be able to fly to 26 new destinations between New York and Washington. Some of the important destinations include Palm Beach, New Orleans, Fort Lauderdale, Buffalo, Phoenix, Salt Lake City and Jacksonville.
Akbar Al Baker, CEO Qatar Airways said that the airline is extremely delighted to expand its alliance with JetBlue, as this airline works towards service and quality, which is the focal area of Qatar also. He further said that with this codeshare, we will be able to expand our horizon and will be able to provide our passengers with more convenience.
