Singapore Airlines in the third quarter of 2013 will be launching all new business class seats. The airline told the media that they will continue with the traditional forward facing layout plan in their business class section, rather than the ongoing trend of herringbone layout followed by several of its competitors.
Comfortable and spacious seating along with bettered sleeping positions will be the main highlight of the new designed seats. Singapore Airlines has appointed James Park Associates for the job of designing the next generation business class seats for its A380 fleet. These are the same contractors who have designed the airlines’ present business class seats fitted in A380s.
Expected to complete by July this year, this retrofit program will first appear on Boeing 777-300ER planes, which will be serving long-haul flights from Singapore.
