UAE’s national carrier Etihad Airways recently announced it will be increasing capacity on its Abu Dhabi-New York route. The airline in a statement said that the capacity to its daily flights between Abu Dhabi and New York would be significantly increased from June this year.
The airline disclosed that it would be introducing a Wi-Fi enabled Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to operate flights between Abu Dhabi and New York starting from June 1, 2013.
The airline has been currently operating flights on this route with the help of an Airbus A340-500 aircraft. With the introducing of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft the capacity on the route would be increased by 36.6 percent. The airline would offer 40 Pearl Business class seats for customers booking business class tickets for travel between the two destinations. Apart from this, the customers would be offered eight seats in Diamond First class and 280 seats in Coral Economy class.
