The travelers from South Florida will now get opportunity to buy air tickets at cheap rates than before as many airlines have entered into fray to provide more flight options to the Caribbean, Latin America and even within the United States.

Media reports recently said that JetBlue Airways would begin daily flights from Fort Lauderdale to Lima late November this year. The airline is presently operating flights to the two Colombian cities of Medellin and Bogota from Fort Lauderdale.

Another U.S. carrier American Airlines will start second daily round-trip flights to Medellin from Miami to be operated seasonally this summer starting from June 12 through August 26, 2013. The airline has also stated that it would start daily round-trip service to San Diego from Miami starting June 12 this year.

Spirit Airlines has also decided to resume four-time weekly seasonal flights to Kingston from Miami and Fort Lauderdale starting from May 9.
