Cape Air flights have performed outstandingly well in April 2013. The airline in a statement said that it has so far transported 3,196 outbound passengers from Quincy Regional Airport this year, up from 2,876 passengers through the end of April in 2012.
According to Cape Air, Quincy Regional Airport is putting up with its admirable performance and continued its record of y-o-y improvements in the number of passengers taking flights to St. Louis.
Jeff Steinkamp, Director of Quincy Regional Airport, said that the airport had 834 revenue enplanements for April 2013, up 12.2 percent, over 743 enplanements during the same month in 2012.
Cape Air is currently offering six daily round-trip flights between St. Louis and Qunicy Monday through Friday, and three round-trip flights between the two cities on Saturdays and Sundays. The airline had been offering $40 one-way tickets, which has become quite popular with the local travelers.
Quincy airport officials said that the higher number of passengers boarding flights from Quincy to St. Louis indicates that it is on track to exceed last year’s total of 10,120 enplanements.
